Gisborne installed a combination of commercial and residential fire protection systems at the 65 storey Shangri-La tower. The Shangri-La tower is the tallest building in Vancouver. This height of the tower required 2 fire pumps, 1 at the parkade level and 1 at level 42. The scope also included wet and dry sprinkler systems and wet stand pipe systems. Another unique feature was the installation of a compressed air system which allows fire fighters to re-charge their airpacks throughout the tower without having to exit the building thus improving the towers life safety system.
Scope: Wet and dry sprinkler systems and wet stand pipe systems, compressed air system
