Through CGT Industrial, Gisborne was awarded the mechanical, piping, and HVAC contract for the  construction of Pretium's flagship mine, Brucejack.  With the project located 65 km north of Stewart in NW British Columbia, access to the site involves an 8 hour bus trip from Terrace BC and includes traversing a glacier to arrive at the project. During the winter this area can experience up to 24” of snow in a 24 hour period making this a very unique project in terms of logistics and access.

Scope: The scope of work included structural, piping, mechanical, and HVAC. Major equipment installed included an FLsmidth Ball Mill and Sag Mill, IEM fabricated conveyors, (2) Mine Portal Fans, and numerous pumps, pumpboxes and associated infrastructure. The piping scope encompassed over 50,000 feet of pipe spanning rubber lined, carbon steel, stainless steel, and plastic material groups.
